Headquarters Economy Planning: At present, foreign-funded enterprises like Trane, Nike, BP, C&H Toys, Ebner, HS R&A have set up the regional production bases, sales headquarters, research and development centers in Taicang. The HQ Economic Zone is planned to be located at the east side the downtown area.
Taiwan-funded Scientific & Technological Innovation Industrial Park
Taiwan-funded Scientific & Technological Innovation Industrial Park: This park was established after the approval of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province People¡¯s Government in December 2006. The Park is located in Yuewang District of Shaxi Town with the New District on the south and Taicang Port on the east and the planned area is 3.3 square kilometers. It will serve as a special industrial park to attract Taiwanese technological enterprises and will also become an important modern technology innovation industrial park in Suzhou region as well.
Taicang Port Bonded Logistics Center
Taicang Port Bonded Logistics Center: The Bonded Logistic Center mainly focuses on the closed Customs supervision, with the functions of import and export bonded warehousing, international logistics allocation of distribution, simple processing and value added services, import and export trade, entrepot trade, logistics information processing and other functions. It is a logistic center that connects domestic and foreign markets. The planned area is 6 square kilometers and the initial start-up area of 1.39 square kilometers, with 450,000 square meters bonded warehouse, 160,000 square meters of international container transit yard, 140,000 square meters bulk cargo yard and 33,000 square meters modern office buildings integrate Customs supervision, logistics business transaction platform and information network platform.
Taicang scientific research garden
(1) International Service Outsourcing Base: Taicang, which became one of the first batch of international service outsourcing bases in Jiangsu Province in May 2007, will focus on attracting enterprises with main business activity involving in service outsourcing.
(2) Taicang Software Park: Its main business is the development of embedded software, logistics software, with planned construction area of 180,000 square meters. It will be constructed in three phases. The first phase of 40,000-square-meter has been completed.
(3) Technology Innovation Park & Overseas Students Pioneer Park: 31enterprises have already settled down in the park. Development areas: microelectronics science and electronic information technology, optoelectronic science and integrated optoelectronic technology, material science and new materials technology, energy science, new energy and highly efficient energy saving technology. The park will focus on creating digital video and audio industry cluster.
Zhen He International Tourist Resort
Zhen He International tourist Resort: Located along the Yangtze River and at the border of Shanghai, with a planned area of about 5.3 square kilometers, Zhen He International Tourist Resort, based on the natural environment, backed up by history and culture, focused on leisure lifestyle, targeted at Shanghai and Suzhou markets, will fully display its historic and cultural charm and natural ecological riverside scene.
Olympic Ecological Park
Olympic Ecological Park: Situated in Chengxiang Town, Taicang City, the park plans to cover an area of 4.7 square kilometers, with Taisha Highway, XinGang Highway and Suzhou-Kunshan-Taicang Expressway traversing the area and Yanglintang River running through in the north. This park enjoys ecological leisure sports-center with good environment, multifunctional and complete facilities, to set a variety of functions like travel, dining, entertainment and housing. A new shining spot of tourism in Yangtze River Delta will stand out soon.
