Taicang has a National First-grade Port¡ªTaicang Port. 82 deep-water berths can be planned along the Yangtze River with designed cargo handling capacity of 288 million tons. So far, 32 berths of various types have been built, with 52 international and domestic shipping routes opening to operation. The radiation of the market covers the whole Yangtze River Delta Region, the East China Region and even the Yangtze River Basin.
Taicang has 45.5kilometers high-level highways per 100 square kilometers, the density of the highway ranking first in Jiangsu Province.
Taicang has sufficient power supply, with large power plants such as Huaneng Power Plant and Huanbao Power plant, Taicang¡¯s power capacity accounts for one-tenth of Jiangsu province.
Taicang has sufficient water supply. The Yangtze River Water Diversion Project covers the whole city with designed daily water supply capacity of 300,000 tons.
