Superb geographic location
Taicang located at 120¡ã 58'~121¡ã20' E and 31¡ã20'~31¡ã45' N, boards the Yangtze River on the east, Shanghai on the south, and connects kunshan on the west, Changshu on the north. It is both approximately 50 kms away from the city centers of Shanghai and Suzhou.
Thanks to the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River Delta, Taicang enjoys a developed network of rivers, flat and fertile land with abundant products and the name of the land flowing with milk and honey.
Located in the north subtropical area, taicang is favored with mild climate, four distinct seasons and abundant rainfalls. It¡¯s average annual temperature stands at 15.5¡ãC and forest-free period lasts some 226 days.
 
 
Convenient transportation network
Situated at the intersection of China's coastal opening-up belt and Yangtze River economical belt, Taicang, with 38kms of borderline adjoining Shanghai, lies at the forefront of Jiangsu Province to integrate with Shanghai and the center of Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone.
The transportation network has already formed a pattern of four horizons and three verticals with Wuxi-Taicang first-class highway, XinGang highway, Suzhou-Kunshan-Taicang expressway, and S339 Provincial Highway as the four horizons and Coastal Expressway, Hu-Fu-Huang Highway and G204 State Highway as the three verticals. This pattern assures that each town and district is within the scope of 15 minutes to the expressway and 30 minutes to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and 60 minutes to Pudong International Airport.
Taicang owns 38.8-kilometer-long coastal line of the Yangtze River, of which 25.7-kilometer-long is deep water line. Taicang Port is only 13 nautical miles to Wusongkou, and is the neatest port to the estuary of Yangtze River and the port with the best navigation condition in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
